Into the night - AW/20

Our latest campaign explores the dark allures of winter and femininity, inspired by the Hulder: a beautiful but dangerous seductress from Scandinavian Folklore. Warm knits, overcoats and formal dresses contrast stark Scandinavian winterscapes.

Our feature film tells the story of the Truth and the Lie - an escapist fantasy and a metaphor for the confusion, isolation and desperation of the post-truth world and the anxiety so many have felt this year.

In these turbulent times - we know you value comfort and quality more than ever. To prepare you for winter, our new collection is timeless and modular, offering flexibility to mix and match. A classic colour palette in rich burgundy, beige and black are refreshed with hints of metallic, coral and blue. Leather and tailoring pair with heritage checks, paisley and nightfall prints for a chic bohemian vibe.

Design Inspirattion

We designed our AW/20 collection in our London studios. We made every style in Europe with our artisan craftsmen who have been as imaginative and creative as ever these last few months. Our production partners have been flexible and without them, none of this would be possible. Thankfully, we have been able to adapt quickly to the year to build in more flexibility to the collection. After all, it seems that anything is possible in 2020.

We’re introducing some new styles for AW20 including small leather goods, boots, trainers, scarves, notebooks and leather jackets and skirts. Shearling jackets, cosy knitwear and double-breasted overcoats layer up making outfits ideal for cold walks or laid back lounging.

We shot the campaign over 4 days in the Arctic Circle in the far North of Sweden in temperatures between -5 and 0 degrees. We shot on location in Abisko and the forests near Kiruna. All photography and videography were produced by our in-house creative team.

The arctic Circle

We travelled to the far North of Sweden into the Arctic Circle, one of two polar circles at the top of the earth with extremely cold temperatures in Winter that can reach -30 degrees. Only 4 million people live across the Arctic circle with local town populations that can be as few as 20-30 people.

We shot on location in Kiruna and Abisko, on the Swedish/Norway border. We filmed in late October before the darkness falls (there’s no daylight between December and January) and before temperatures plunged. The Arctic Circle is also the best place on earth to see the Aurora Borealis of ‘Northern lights’.

Leather Goods

New for AW/20 is our collection of leather goods including handbags, wallets and purses. We’ve designed each in our London studios and made them with the softest Italian leather with partners in Italy. We also work with several leather tanneries in India. Our focus has been to introduce wearable, useable small leather goods that will stand the test of time.
